A best friend after 'that person'

I met her today. She seemed to be fine and we talked as usual. We went to our lectures as always and the girl who had passed from NITC last year was with also us.

FLASHBACK!
The girl from NITC: One day after a lecture she just got really friendly with me, though she never spoke to me before this, in fact, she and her black friend used to talk things about me and my best friend, Sarah. (so Sarah hated her) She went with me for lunch, too. She was really nice to me that day and took me to her place, gave me a gingerbread biscuit. Then, the next day she met Sarah and became friends with her, too. Sarah started liking her after that. From then on, she started humiliating me at every point she could. She comes from a rich background! So spends money on everything she likes. Will go for a Starbucks, every time she needs coffee, will go to the most expensive place fr whatever she wants. And when I go for a free cup of coffee in the university's lounge, won't let go the chance of embarrassing me and making me realize that a cheapskate I am! And then, wants my best friend to be her best friend, the worst nightmare of every student!! She tried a lot of things to be close to Sarah and she, to sme extent, is close to her.

After the project weeks! (holidays)
I talked to Sarah as usual. During the project weeks the girl from NITC did all the projects with Sarah. Maybe, I fear losing her, as she is the one I talk to most of my stuff about. Who will I talk to if she isn't there? I felt bad that she, perhaps, is closer to Sarah than I am. I just don't know why would anyone come and try to part away to friends..

Why?!?!!!! >:(

Life v/s Lucy

In the previous post where I speak about the film Lucy, I somehow described how great was the film and what made it that good. This is a continuation of my questions and the questions which Lucy couldn't answer.

We are all aware of how unaware and ignorant we are, and we chose to be so. Why so?
Perhaps, because it gives us freedom. The freedom to be happy and not think of what's going wrong in the world. But,  if we reach the stage of Lucy's intelligence, we would know about everything going wrong, we'd even be able to stop all that.. But, if philosophy is considered as knowledge, we know we're here to live, love and laugh, and not to worry about the world. However aware they are, could people with such skills be of use to mankind, or will they prefer living their own lives?

On the other hand, if they are so intelligent and would always know that a person's physical beauty is just an accident, would they all have partners only with good hearts?

Also, would we be able to know more about the universe's start and end? And other such unanswered questions? Would we be stronger? would we be able to invent things that are magical?

Although, the ultimate question is would it be possible to use our brains than ever? And if yes, how would we do it and why didn't we find ways to do so? If no, why not? And when are we going to find the answers...?

Hope you found this article interesting and if you have such questions too or any suggestions or feedback, do leave them in the comments!

Lucy

If you think this is about the film Lucy, you're absolutely right! That film was fantastic! And the only people who didn't like it, I can think  of are the one's who didn't understand it. I reckon, this film changed my life to some extent. (for about 2 days)

Though this was a hypothetical way of answering the 'unanswerable' questions, the way she 'feels' after reaching a state of innate sense of awareness, which she couldn't ever think of was possible, is what gives me goose bumps. The way she portrays how she feels the blood in her veins, the energy flowing in the atmosphere, her mother's breast-milk and almost everything that we know about but ignore to think or even feel, is incredible!

All of us can relate to this, can't we? We know how we encounter all of this, if not often, at least some randomly sometimes.. We know there's  energy in us, we are made up of extremely minute particles and are aware of almost everything happening in our organs. That's when I realized, we humans are extremely skilled at forgetting the old and getting used to what's new.
For instance, changes; We know things change and are not comfortable with them, but, after some time, we get on with the change, rather, we get habitual.

Or this may also be called the inability to put things into practice..
I read somewhere 'Atoms study atoms and the brain named itself' I knew this all my life, but this was like a piece of information! I felt as if my life had just been caught cheating on me! Or perhaps, it was myself and the way I learned how to think..

Yet after watching the movie, I had a loads of questions in my mind. Some were as weird as 'When I hear the world 'world' I think of the blue and  green globe floating in a black background which we often refer to as the earth. But, the world consists of everything from a cell in a human body to the cell phone that person uses to text and call, what would a person like her think of when they hear this word. Can they see everything that exists, when they here the word 'universe'?

These thoughts freaked me out! They were scary, yet felt familiar..

Whom to believe?

Sometimes, when isolated, you just have questions left with no one to answer them, not even Google. No family, no friends, just no one.. It's you living in a magnificent universe which is not even partly discovered by us. You are not away from the first question which atheists are asked after they say they're atheist is, 'Who made the Universe then?!' Struggling for answers and believing almost everything we hear, we're grown up to believe whatever we see and hear. We are taught to believe in God before we even realize, we are just a specie on the earth that might one day be eaten up by the black hole or are so intelligent that we might conquer it and make it another source of energy for ourselves.

You might be reading this on you mobile phone, laptop, tablet or some other device which we now don't even know is going to ever exist. Machines.. You need a computer to run a huge device which manufactures parts of computers. We are surrounded by these machines having immense potentials, but were just some pieces of metal boiling in a hot ball of gases, just a few billion years ago. That's what science has given us. Easing our lives and making living more and more comfortable.

Raised as a Hindu in India, I have always heard chants of the holy gayatri mantra and hanuman chalisa. We've always had pujas on Diwali and Holi. After realizing that my Catholic friends celebrated Christmas as the birth of Christ and we celebrated Diwali as the return of Lord Ram, I concluded religion has given us festivals, days where we dress up, have exquisite meals and be happy for basically no other reason than just the day.

During my schooling, I came across some passport-sized photos of men with large white moustaches and beards. They were completely white, even their hair! And later on, I realized they were just the statues of some great philosophers who left us with answers which we can actually justify even in the 21st Century. Aristotle, Plato, Socrates, basically with no known surnames, prove how incredible would have their thought processes been, to leave solutions for not generations but centuries! This is what philosophy gave us- simple ways in which we could actually be happy.

Science, religion and philosophy, all of these answer our questions to some extent. But why are taught that only these are the boundaries of the answers we can get?

Are we meant to reproduce and forward our genes and 'nformation' to the future generations, as per science?
OR
Are we meant to live happily with our friends and family, exploring the unending pleasures of life, according to philosophy?
OR
Are we meant to praise His existence and thank Him for ours, as says religion?
OR
Are we just meant to raise these questions and make suggestions which satisfy us as per our own discretion?

Could there not be something more than philosophy, science and religion to answer questions which are not yet answered..? Or should we just be proud to belong to a specie which can go to the Mars & sit back and wait for other achievements to be proud on?
